History
The church was established by Bishop Manuel Yap on April 1, 1962. It became a parish through a canonical erection presided by Bishop Antonio Y. Fortich on March 4, 1969 and the first parish priest was Fr. Vicente Salgado. Its status was raised to a diocesan shrine on May 30, 2006.
Architecture
The facade is dominated by a church tower whose hollow base also serves as a portico and has pointed arch as primary architectural motif. It has a round window depicting an image of the patroness and ornamented with curclicues. It is topped with a lantern, pyramidal roof, and a cross.
The main entrance is flanked by church walls and a pair of bell towers, while the pediment is in a recessed section. Its interiors feature barrel vaulte ceiling and three naves with clerestory overlooking the main nave.
Celebration
The feast day of the Immaculate Conception is every December 8.

The parish office is open from 9:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon except Tuesday.
