St. James the Greater Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Batuan, Bohol, Philippines. Its second patroness is St. Cecilia.

History
The church was a visita of Bilar. One of the objects from the colonial era is a bell that was cast and dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Merced in 1892. Batuan Church became a parish in 1938.
On the other hand, Batuan became an independent municipality much earlier on October 31, 1903. In 1911, the center of the town was moved from Poblacion Vieja to Tinagacan, now called Poblacion Sur.
Architecture
The facade is marked with curvy, sharp-pointed arch as seen in its fenestration, entrance, pediment, and the niche of the patron whose image is installed above the portico. Twin belfries with red onion dome roofs flank the pediment where a clock can be found. Trefoil motif is also found in the belfries.
Celebration
The feast day of St. James the Greater is July 25.
