St. Lawrence the Deacon Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Panitan, Capiz, Philippines.

History
The town of Panitan, which was called Ipiong, is located by the banks of Tabuc River. Its church, with the patron being St. Lawrence who was martyred in Rome, was established by the Augustinian friars as a parish in 1806, with Fr. Luis Ortega as its first parish priest serving a year later. It was founded four years earlier as a visita of Panay Church, while the town was organized as early as 1778.
Architecture
The pilasters that adorn the facade culminate in gable peaks. The primary entryway is decorated with pointed-arch and a gable-shaped molding, above which is an oculus, a winged figure representing the Holy Spirit, and Christian monogram. It is flanked by the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus below the Greek letter alpha and the Immaculate Heart of Mary under the Greek letter omega. In the epistle side there are bas relief of cherubs, and above is the belfry.
Celebration
The feast day of St. Lawrence is August 10.
