St. John the Baptist Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Sigma, Capiz, Philippines.

History
In the past, Sigma was part of Mambusao. Its church was established in 1744 when Granada-native Augustinian friar Fr. Felix de Velasco was assigned, while the town (separated from Mambusao and was organized in 1761. According to oral tradition, it was named after Datu Cayongyong Mahinay who was afflicted with frequent cold spells he was known as Datu Sikma (sikma meaning to blow one’s nose).
However, the church was converted back to a visita. No records of priest was assigned to it until Fr. Antonio Anselmo Santiago who served between 1838 and 1855.
Architecture
The present-day church was built in 1940. The church’s facade is typified by walls of dissimilar height, with the central section rising into a belfry. It is framed by pilasters and punctured by arches and a cruciform glass window above the entrance. The entryways are each provided shade by an overhang.
Celebration
The feast of St. John the Baptist is June 24.
