Most Holy Trinity Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Alangalang, Leyte, Philippines.

History
The Jesuits led by Fr. Come de Flores established the Christian mission in Alangalang in 1596 as the fourth doctrina after Carigara, Dulag, and Ormoc. A church of light materials (bamboo and wood) was erected and completed on June 15, 1597.
In the following century, the site of the first settlement was in Bukid. It suffered immensely from Moro attacks and natural disasters that the church was annexed as a visita of Barugo. In 1852, it seceded from Barugo and was raised to a parish; another account stated its parochial status was granted much earlier in 1809.
When the settlement grew, the parish priest Fr. Jose Olmo transferred the pueblo across Mainit River. Through time, it prospered with roads built, commerce of crops thrived, and the population increased. However, the pueblo was transferred to its present location after a great flood in 1883.
Architecture
An account stated that the present-day church was built during the time of Fr. Mateo Avila and when Bishop Sofronio Hacbang was the head of the Diocese of Calbayog starting in 1917. Both of their names appear on the front wall: “Siendo Obispo El Illmo Dr.S Hacbang Y… Mateo Avila Presbitero.” Above the inscription is the detail “October 1923”, possibly the date of its completion.
The church has a cruciform lay-out. Comparing its old images reveals that it has undergone significant renovation, the most recent one was undertaken to repair the damage left by Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in November 2013. It retained the general appearance of the facade, but its masonry wall is plastered over to a smooth finish.
Buttresses support the wall of the facade, giving way to a series of connected arch roofs. Above the entrance door is a lunette of stained glass depicting the Holy Trinity. Its upper section is divided vertically by embedded columns of Tuscan order and horizontally by dentil. The pediment is punctured by a pair of occuli and where the niche containing the statue of the Holy Trinity is found. The uppermost level of the church is highly adorned with scroll-work, foliage, finials, a pair of cherubs, and a cross.
Twin bell towers of four floors and crowned with a dome flank the arches, making the facade recessed.
