History
The church was founded in 1986.
Architecture
The church was designed by HO+ME Architects and Associates. It adopts the pointed arch as an architectural motif, and it is seen in the overhang on the portico, the pediment, the shape of the ceiling over the sanctuary, and apertures in the clerestory that burst into multicolored depictions of biblical and catechetical scenes.
The church is situated on a fenced strip of property. Its courtyard is divided into three lanes, the central one leads to the parking lot in the basement while the other two are divided each into a ramp and a staircase that spill into the entrance.
While the main doorway is rectilinear, a concrete band rises to a pointed arch to the height of the roof that forms the upper panel (on which the image of Christ the King is portrayed in a round stained glass) and the pediment. Flanking the central section of the facade are Marian emblems: the Ave Maria symbol consisting of a crown atop the entwined letters A and M that represent the first two words spoken by the angel Gabriel during the Anunciation.
As seen from a rendition of the architectural plan, the pediment which is an alcove enclosed by radials and the arcs flanking it are meant to be window openings with stained glass that would allow sunbeams to stream into the interiors.
On the rooftop in the epistle flank is a four-bodied steeple. It has an octagonal base followed by a cylindrical lantern, dome roof, a modern belfry, and cross.
