St. Francis of Assisi Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Mercedes, Eastern Samar, Philippines.

History
The church in Mercedes was founded on October 25, 1894 and re-erected on February 22, 1964. The town meanwhile was absorbed to Guiuan in 1903 by virtue of Act No. 960. Its municipal status was restored by the passage of Republic Act No. 262 on June 15, 1948.
Architecture
The portico of the church features arches, columns, and balustrade. The front wall is pierced with arches, most of which bearing a cross on their panes. On the pediment is an empty arch and topped with a cross. The bell tower is located in the epistle side, a concrete edifice rising to two levels.
Celebration
The feast day of St. Francis of Assisi is May 1.
