St. James the Great Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Albuera, Leyte, Philippines. It also locally known as Parokya ni Senyor Santiago Apostol Albuera.

History
Formerly a visita of Ormoc, the church was established in 1862. Its settlement was called Sibugay after the river, and it was renamed to Albuera after the name of a village in Spain.
Albuera was made into a municipality during the American colonization, when Governor General Francis Burton Harrison issued Executive Order No. 99 on December 19, 1917.
Architecture
The entrance is provided cover by an overhang and flanked by arch windows depicting the Transfiguration (in the gospel side) and the Holy Family (in the epistle side), as well as side extensions with arches. Above the entryway, the pediment is pierced with apertures and bears the name of the parish in the local language. A three-post bell tower is erected in the gospel side.

The feast day of St. James the Great is July 25.
