History
It is not known for sure how Babatngon began as a settlement. Various accounts suggested that it was first located in Bacod Island, San Vicente, Malibago. It is likely that Babatngon and Malibago originally were separate jurisdictions, and Babatngon preceded others in being organized as a settlement. It was also an outpost that overlooked Carigara Bay.
The church was founded in 1909.
Architecture
The white-slate gray church has a portico, above which are statues of holy figures. Its pillars are decorated with cartouches and accented plinths. On the pediment is a stained glass window depicting the patron. The church’s bell tower stands in the epistle side.
Celebration
The feast day of St. Vincent Ferrer is every second Saturday of May.
