St. Michael Archangel Church is a Roman Catholic church located in San Miguel, Leyte, Philippines.

History
The old name of the town was Sabang, and it was located by the banks of Sapiniton River. They moved to Libtong as their original location was exposed to Moro attacks. They eventually settled back once defenses were put up and the seaborne assaults diminished.
It was renamed after its patron, St. Michael the Archangel. The church started as a visita of Barugo and then of Babatngon beginning in 1900. It was canonically erected as a parish in 1931 (or 1913 according to some accounts), with Fr. Pedro Aruta as its first parish priest. He remained in the role until 1922.
Its early church may have been made out of humble building materials using wood and bamboo. After the war, it was rebuilt and then sustained damages from typhoon in 1966. The present-day church was built in 1968.
Celebration
The feast day of St. Michael Archangel is September 29, and the town celebrates the Bathan Festival.
