San Jose Church is a Roman Catholic church located in San Jose, Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines.

History
The barangay was called Casiroman and later San Ricardo after Fr. Ricardo Suarez who rallied the people to defend themselves against Moro attacks. Later, it was called San Jose after their patron saint and Fr. Jose de la Peña.
Its church is one of the two daughter parishes of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish of Tacloban. The other is Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (V&G Subdivision).
The spiritual needs of the Catholics were addressed by the Redemptorists priests. It was raised to the status of a quasi-parish by Archbishop Pedro R. Dean on November 15, 1986 with Fr. Moises Apostol as head of the community. He also served as the first parish priest after the church was canonically erected into a parish on November 22, 1987.
Architecture
The church is of somber stone exterior with rectilinear glass windows. Its portico is punctured with an oculus bearing the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Holy Child. On its extended pediment is the large glass installation of the patron and topped with a lighted cross. The bell tower is in the gospel side.
Celebration
The feast day of St. Joseph is May 25.
