History
The church began as a mission station created through a decree issued by Archbishop Pedro R. Dean on June 2, 2004. Fr. Cipriano Rey A. Caraballa was its first minister of the mission. A year later, it was raised into a quasi-parish on June 2, 2005 and the following year, church-building commenced. It was canonically erected into a parish in November 2017 with Fr. Armando R. Dagsa as the first parish priest.
Architecture
The church was being built when it was damaged by an earthquake and Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in 2013, and it received funding for the building of the church from Europe. The church combine varied walls of plain surfaces, different stone exteriors, and texture. Fluted columns support its portico, and its entrance is flanked by glass windows depicting holy figure and doorways. Decorative elements used in the facade include purely decorative corbel, cartouche, blind rose windows, and finials.
Celebration
The feast day of Christ the King is every third Sunday of November and St. Joseph in the month of May.
